In early 2022, at a press conference held in Las Vegas, the United States, Le Thi Thu Thuy, VinFast's global CEO, announced that VinFast would completely abandon fuel vehicles and become a professional enterprise of pure electric vehicles.
In terms of production and sales, VinFast aims to produce and sell about 1 million electric vehicles in five to six years. The output of VinFast in 2021 will be about 35000 vehicles. By comparison, the "ambition" of VinFast is not big.

It is planned to open in the capital of Vietnam in the first quarter of 2023. According to the joint press release, VinFast - Infineon Competency Center (VICC) will discuss VinFast's new mobile solutions and the corresponding requirements for semiconductors in the early development stage. Its purpose is to "support the stability of the supply chain". As a first step, the center being established will focus on developing new electric power systems for VinFast's electric platform.
