AEC : Automotive Electronics Council, Automotive Electronics Association, initiated by Chrysler (Chrysler), Ford (Ford) and General Motors (GM) and established in 1994.
Chrysler is now a sub-brand of PSA-FCA.
The purpose of AEC
For vehicle components and applications, establish the reliability and identification standards and quality control standards of vehicle electronic components to improve the stability and standardization of vehicle electronics . If you want to enter the automotive field, you must obtain the AECQ reliability test certification from the Automotive Electronics Association and the Zero Defect supply chain quality management standard IATF16949 specification.
AECQ
That is, the International Automotive Electronics Association Vehicle Regulation Verification Standard
There are different AECQ standards for different types of automotive electronic components:
AECQ type | Typical Automotive Electronic Component Types |
AEC-Q100 | integrated circuit IC |
AEC-Q101 | Discrete semiconductor devices, such as diodes, transistors, MOS, IGBT, TVS tubes, etc. |
AEC-Q102 | Discrete optoelectronic devices such as LEDs, laser components, photodiodes, phototransistors, etc. |
AEC-Q103 | sensor |
AEC-Q104 | multi-chip module |
AEC-Q200 | Passive devices such as resistors, capacitors and inductors |
AEC-Q100
AEC-Q100 is the first standard of AEC. AEC-Q100 specifies a series of tests in detail, and defines the minimum requirements for stress test-driven certification and reference test conditions for IC certification.
