Reno, NV – ILSI America LLC is pleased to announce the acquisition of Oscilent Corporation.
Oscilent will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of ILSI and will be headquartered in Reno, NV.
The Oscilent brand will continue to be supported for both new and existing customers in the frequency control marketplace without interruption. The transition of ownership to ILSI will be seamless to our valued customer base.
“We believe the Oscilent products will be complimentary to the existing product offering and provide a broader range of solution to our customers as well as our existing brands providing a broader range of solutions to the Oscilent customer base” said Mike Nusbaum, Chairman and CEO of ILSI. “We are excited to add Oscilent to our frequency control solutions family”.
ILSI was established in 1987 and Oscilent in 1999, providing many successful years of service, experience and expertise in the Frequency Control Market.
ILSI Quartz or piezo crystal products have piezoelectric properties and are supplied in Surface Mount Device (SMD) thru hole, metal can, and ceramic packaging configurations. Quartz crystals or piezo crystals are the most common type of piezoelectric resonator used today. Crystal products can be supplied at custom and standard frequencies where required with custom parameters such as tight stability and low effective series resistance (ESR), with customer specified pullability.
A Crystal Oscillator is an electronic circuit that uses the mechanical resonance of a vibrating crystal of piezoelectric material to create an electrical signal with a precise frequency. ILSI RF, Crystal, and Clock Oscillator products, XO’s, are supplied in a wide range of frequencies, many different voltages, and logic options. Tight stability and low frequency stability is available on each unit. The output logic configurations we have available are CMOS, LVDS, LVPECL, TTL, and HCMOS. Their oscillators can be supplied in Surface Mount Device (SMD), thru hole metal can, and ceramic packaging configurations. They can also be supplied in miniature ceramic surface mount packaging if required.
ILSI Ceramic or dielectric resonators are supplied in both surface mount and thru-hole configurations in a wide range of frequencies with internal or external capacitor configurations. They provide an attractive alternative to quartz crystals as a result of their low cost, mechanical ruggedness, and small size. Ceramic / dielectric resonators are used as a clock signal for many microprocessors where tight frequency stability is not a primary concern. These resonators (dielectric / ceramic) are mainly used in consumer electronics applications as well as household appliances.
