Founded in 1983 by P.R. Donahue as T.S. Polymers, their firm began as a contract coating house specializing in siloxane hard coating of polycarbonate sheets and parts. During that time, they operated out of rented facilities in Fairfield, Ohio. In 1988 a full-size plastic sheet coating line and several pieces of plastic forming equipment were added.
Stuart Newman joined T.S. Polymers in 1991 as General Manager, and in 1994 led the move into their own state-of-the art production facility located in nearby Batavia, Ohio. There they installed an expanded and modernized coating cleanroom and began adding fabrication equipment to produce finished plastic panels, lenses and windows. Mr. Newman bought controlling interest in the firm in 1996 and changed the name to TSP, Inc.
TSP’s proprietary coatings were officially recognized and Registered as DURAVUE in 1999. In 2001 we expanded their building to house their fabrication operations, which grew over the next decade to include laser cutting, CNC milling and precision saw cutting. By 2010 they had introduced additional services including adhesive gasket mounting and assembly, and as recently as 2017 added in-house digital printing.
Throughout our 30+ years in existence, they have expanded their customer base to become a leading supplier of durable plastics for protective viewing applications for many of the world’s largest and most demanding enterprise companies in the aerospace, electronics, safety & security, transportation, military/defense and medical fields.
